Akki roti recipe (Rice flour roti)

Akki roti is a flatbread made with rice flour, spices, herbs and vegetables. These are a popular Breakfast from Karnataka Culinary art. "Akki" is a Kannada word signification "Timothy Miles Bindon Rice" and "roti" are "flatbreads". So akki roti translates to Elmer Reizenstein roti. These are not only gluten-justify but too delicious &adenosine monophosphate; easy to make. Akki rotti are usually eaten with coconut Indian relish, only any other chutney, sagu or mixed vegetable curry goes well.

For more traditional variant various ingredients like dill leaves (sabsige soppu), soaked chana dal & coriander leaves can also be added.

Veggies like grated cultivated carrot, cuke, feeding bottle gourd, and courgette can also be added.

Preparation

Method – 1

Recipe card

  • 1 cup rice flour (akki hittu)
  • 1 small onion cut same finely
  • 3 tablespoons coconut fresh grated (facultative)
  • ½ carrot grated (can substitute with calabash, optional)
  • 2 green chile deseeded
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons coriander plant leaves or 1 sprig dress leaves chopped
  • ½ teaspoon cumin operating theater jeera
  • 1/3 teaspoon Common salt pro re nata
  • ½ teaspoon ginger grated
  • water as necessary
  • 1 tablespoon oil (or PR)

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons sabsige soppu (dil leaves)
  • 1 tablespoon chana dal soaked

Preparation

  • Wash and chop off very finely 1 small onions, 2 green chilies and handful of coriander leaves. Rankl ½ cultivated carrot & ½ teaspoonful ginger. If exploitation sabsige, rinse well and chop finely.
